Seeing his child he remembered his sin. She immediately told the whole story to the people and also told about the condition of her child. When he apologized thus, all the villagers forgave him. When the milkmaid returned to the same place, her child was alive and playing.

On the occasion of Balaram Purnima, devotees wake up early in the morning and take a bath, after which prepare the puja thali. Flowers and leaves are placed around the temple in preparation for the puja. The idols of Lord Krishna and Lord Balarama are installed and decorated with beautiful jewelry and costumes. In all the temples where this festival is celebrated, Lord Balarama and Lord Krishna are worshipped. 

On this day, devotees observe a fast by abstaining from eating anything till noon. Saints and devotees give holy baths to the idols of Lord Balaram and Lord Krishna with Panchamrit. Apart from offering special food to the deity, devotees prepare sacred food which is then distributed to all the family, friends, and neighbors.
