Maa Kalratri Story

Goddess Kalratri is the seventh form of Maa Durga. Mother is very kind and compassionate. This goddess is the one who grants victory everywhere and removes all the disorders of the mind and brain. She is known as the seventh Shakti of Maa Durga and Kaalratri (Maa Kaalratri), i.e. whose body color is absolutely black like dense darkness. It is clear from the name itself that their appearance is terrifying. The hair on the head is scattered and around the neck is a garland that shines like electricity. Kaalratri is the power that destroys dark situations. It is that power which protects even from death.

This goddess has three eyes. All three eyes are as round as the universe. Fire keeps coming out from his breath. She rides the womb. The Vara Mudra of the raised right hand grants blessings to the devotees. The lower hand on the right side is in Abhaya Mudra. That means devotees always remain fearless. There is an iron hook in the upper left hand and a sword in the lower hand. Her appearance may be fierce but she is a mother who always gives auspicious results. That is why they are called Shubhankari, that is, devotees do not need to be afraid or terrorized by them in any way. By seeing him the devotee becomes a partaker of virtue.

By worshiping Kalratri, the doors of all the siddhis of the universe start opening and with the mere pronunciation of her name, all the demonic powers start running away in fear. That is why demons, rakshasas and ghosts run away at the mere mention of them. These planets also remove obstacles and the fear of fire, water, animals, enemies and night goes away. By his grace the devotee becomes free from every kind of fear.
