Janeu Sanskar is one of the 16 prescribed rituals in Sanatan Dharma. It is considered the tenth sacrament in Hinduism. In the ceremony, boys are made to wear a sacred thread called Janeu. However, at present, the meaning of Upanayana Sanskar is that now the child has become sensible, and now worldly and spiritual knowledge can be given to him. Janeu Sanskar Muhurat Calculated

Some important things have been told in the scriptures for the calculation of Upanayana Muhurat. According to the Hindu calendar, it is considered auspicious to perform this ritual at an auspicious time from the month of Magh to the next six months. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are considered auspicious for Janeu Sanskar. Janeu Sanskar should not be performed on Tuesdays and Saturdays, it is considered inauspicious. If we talk about dates, Pratham, Chaturthi, Ashtami, Navami, Trayodashi, Chaturthi, Purnima, or Amavasya dates are considered auspicious for Janeu Sanskar. On the other hand, talking Nakshatras, then Punarvasu, Shravana, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Revati, Pushya, Dhanishtha, Ashwini, and Mrigashira Nakshatras are auspicious for Upanayana Sanskar.
