Believed by many to be a puppet, he was instrumental in killing Jaya and Vijaya, the third and last type of Kansa and Shishupala (often substituted for Dantavakra). He was also the cousin of the Pandavas and served as their companion, scholar, guide, and friend to the needy. Lord Krishna was the peace messenger in the court of King Dhritarashtra after the expulsion of the Pandavas. He was Arjuna’s charioteer in the extraordinary battle of Kurukshetra.
