  • On Shravana Putrada Ekadashi, take a bath early in the morning and perform rituals to take a vow to observe a vrat (fast). Devotees should make it clear whether he is observing a partial or complete vrat/fast. Nirjala Vrat, fasting without drinking water or eating food, is the best Ekadashi fast to follow.   • Stay in spiritual posture day and night. Reciting Vishnu Sahasranama on this day is considered virtuous. Sleeping during the day is prohibited.
  • Perform Aarti with family members in the evening.
  • Keep vigil at night and chant mantras of Lord Shridhar (Vishnu) and do bhajan/kirtan.
  • The devotee can break the fast with family and friends during Pran Kaal.

  • After taking a bath, clean the puja room.
  • If you are a non-vegetarian, then consume Satvik food a few days before and a few days after observing this fast.
