But the king was so arrogant that he left without eating the prasad. 

When the king reached his city, he saw that the king of another kingdom had attacked his kingdom and destroyed everything. After which he understood that all this was the reason for the anger of Lord Satyanarayan. He returned to the same place and asked for God’s offerings from the villagers. He was feeling very remorseful so he apologized for his mistake and accepted the prasad. Lord Satyanarayan forgave the king and returned everything as before. The king enjoyed royal pleasures for a long time and after his death he attained heaven.

According to the scriptures, a person who observes the fast of Lord Satyanarayan methodically and listens to the story gets all the happiness in the world, and all his wishes are fulfilled. He is always blessed by Goddess Lakshmi. That person never remains poor nor does he suffer from any kind of problem. • On the day of Shravan Purnima, one takes a bath in a holy river in the morning and wears the same clothes. On this day, after bathing, feeding fodder to the cow, giving flour to ants and fish, and donating it is considered auspicious.
• After this, sprinkle Ganga water on the post and install the idol of Lord Satyanarayan on it.
• After installing the idol, yellow clothes, yellow fruits, and yellow flowers are offered to him and he is worshipped. After this, the story of Lord Satyanarayan is read or heard.

• It is believed that if the fast of Shravana Purnima is observed as per the rituals, then the mistake of not doing Vedic work for the whole year is forgiven and the fast of Shravan Purnima gives the same results as the fasts of the whole year.

Remedies for Shravana Purnima

On the full moon day of Shravan, offer water to the Peepal tree and light a lamp there. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu reside in the Peepal tree. Worshiping the Peepal tree on this day removes financial problems.

To get rid of money problems, bring Dakshinavarti conch shell on Shravani Purnima. Write any proven mantra of Goddess Lakshmi on it with red sandalwood and install it in the temple of the house.
