According to this list, Ram is actually the 394th name of Lord Vishnu.
The seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Shri Ram, was a combination of fierce willpower and gentle words. It is also believed that the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu presides over and rules over all visible things like the Sun. The daily rising and setting of the sun without interruption teaches a person to remain bound to his duty in his life. Shri Ram also fulfills his duty without being bound by the shackles of karma.
Ram was a prince who roamed the forests, performed all his duties selflessly, and even sacrificed his wife for the sake of his society and people. This is the strength and determination of a Suryavanshi who performs his duties just like the Sun.
